Special Projects

On this page we would like to feature some special projects of some of our students. What you will see here are the results of some who want to extend their ideas and be creative. These works are all designed and hand painted or glazed by the individual and cannot be purchased instore.

Featured Artists.

Vivienne Peters

Mosaics is an art form popular for hundreds of years. The following pictures are of several items that have been constructed by Vivienne. An old coffee table from her Mothers house has had some old 45’s records inserted into the mosaics. A ceramic table top was used for the house design. Our house number. Frame and mosaic at our front door and being made. A mirror and half round table top inside the front door. And of course the Beatles stepping stones in the front yard.

Maria Di Sebastiano

Maria a student for a couple of years, and in 2023 decided she would like to have a Christmas in July party at home. Initially she wanted to have a 10 place setting, but this quickly became a much larger event, and ended up being a 14 place setting. It comprised entree, main sweets and drinks settings. The drinks setting had Limoncello, and coffee cups. In the pictures below you will see the end result of her hard work. It was a great effort to get this all done.

At the end of last year Maria and family went overseas and visited Sicily as well as many other places. She gained lots of inspiration from the many places visited. One especially was seeing an item known as Trinacria, the Symbol of Sicily. Of course she asked me if we could produce something similar, and after thinking about the molds we have, a plan was hatched. Below are pictures from start to finish of the process. The finished piece looks fantastic and is a great adaption.

Maria was asked to construct a Vase using an image of a Ladies head and add Lemons to it. We used our Contentment mold, attached a tile at the base and then Lemons were added around the opening that was cut out.

Fotoula Musgrave.

Fotoula has been both a student and qualified Teacher at our studio for over 20 years. In this instance she decided to make not only one but two, 3 tiered cake stands, all at once. Her production line was incredible and to see someone paint 6 plates one after the other was truly a great achievement.

Maria Rigoni

Maria has been a student for over 20 years and has done some incredible creations. This section will feature some of her Garden Gnomes, Santa’s, Mother Christmas’s as we can find photos.

Canvas Painting

To provide a different take on painting, Viv asked her friend Marilyn McIlvenna to come along and do some Canvas painting. Marilyn has been doing these paintings at the Preston Bunnings store on a regular basis. Below are pictures in the 3 classes.
